Family Exploration Day

A family event to encourage exploration of the natural world. Search for mini-beasts amongst the leaf litter in our bug bonanza! Take part in an Earthwalk adventure; a sensory trail highlighting the richness of nature with an emphasis on developing an early love for the outdoors. Discover marvels you barely knew existed using mirrors and by making smelly cocktails! No dogs please. Suitable for people with limited mobility. Bowdown Woods is situated 2 ½ miles south-east of Newbury. Meet at the Bomb Site car park off Bury Banks Road. As you head west from Thatcham to Greenham, the car park is up a track to the right. Grid Ref: SU 505653
